Mayor Rahm Emanuel was sworn in Monday morning at Millennium Park. The Rev. Jesse Jackson attended and said that the new mayor's biggest hurdle will be keeping the relationships with members of Congress strong enough to get the job done on a local level.
Emanuel promised public school reform and an end to gun violence in Chicago during his inauguration speech in Millennium Park on Monday. Ald. Debra Silverstein (50th Ward) was optimistic after the new mayor's speech.
